His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Khalid bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Governor of the Northern Borders Region, received in his office today His Excellency the Vice Minister of Media, Dr. Abdullah bin Ahmed Al-Maghlouth, and his accompanying delegation.
At the beginning of the meeting, the Vice Minister of Media conveyed the greetings of His Excellency the Minister of Media to HRH the Governor.
During the meeting, His Royal Highness witnessed the signing of several cooperation and understanding memorandums between the Ministry of Media, the Principality of the Northern Borders Region, and several relevant entities.
These memorandums cover the fields of training and development, human capacity building in media, and conducting research and studies to facilitate the exchange of expertise and support the media sector. They also include areas of research and innovation, development of media competencies, implementation of specialized programs, and conducting studies related to the sector's needs to enhance cadre efficiency and elevate professional practices.
The signing ceremony concluded with a cooperation memorandum between the Saudi Media Academy and each of the Region's Principality, Northern Borders University, and the Municipality of the Northern Borders Region. This agreement includes designing and implementing specialized training programs, providing consultancy services, and organizing joint workshops, seminars, and scientific conferences.
HRH the Governor also viewed a visual presentation prepared by the Ministry of Media in the meeting hall.
The Governor of the Northern Borders Region praised the significant support provided by the wise leadership—may God protect them—to the media sector and the rapid development it is undergoing. He emphasized the vital role of media in conveying knowledge, enhancing awareness, and highlighting the developmental and cultural assets of the region.
He stressed the importance of these agreements in supporting integration between relevant authorities, developing media capabilities, and improving the quality of media outputs to highlight the region's achievements and strengthen its media presence.
This visit comes within the framework of enhancing integration between the Ministry of Media and the Northern Borders Region to support the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 and bolster the region's media presence at the national level.
The Vice Minister of Media was accompanied by several ministry leaders, including the Undersecretary for Strategy and Vision Realization, Eng. Majid bin Ayedh Al-Thaqafi; the Acting Undersecretary for Sector Development, Eng. Israa bint Mansour Assiri; and the Assistant Undersecretary for Institutional Services and Acting CEO of the Saudi Media Academy, Eng. Meshaal bin Ahmed Al-Tuwaijri.
