His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Khalid bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Governor of the Northern Borders Region, and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Governor of the Region, performed today, along with the masses of worshippers, the Eid Al Adha prayer at the Emirate Mosque in Musharraf Palace in the city of Arar.
The worshippers were led by Sheikh Saad bin Shayim Al Hadhiri, who began his sermon by praising and thanking Allah, the Almighty, for the bestowed blessings of perfect grace and the completion of the Hajj season. He called for the piety of Allah, diligence in acts of obedience, and drawing closer to Allah during these blessed days.
In his sermon, he addressed the virtue of the sacrifice and its status in Islam, explaining its rulings and conditions. He urged the maintaining of kinship ties, showing kindness to the weak and the needy, and preserving the blessing of security and stability that the Kingdom enjoys under its wise leadership, may Allah support it.
He asked Allah, the Glorified and Exalted, to accept the pilgrimage of the pilgrims and the righteous deeds of the Muslims, and to protect the Kingdom and perpetuate its security, stability, and prosperity.
The Eid prayer was held in all the governorates, centers, and villages of the region.
