His Royal Highness the Prince of the Northern Borders Region Receives the Chief Executive Officer of the King Salman Reserve and Sponsors the Signing of a Memorandum of Understanding
His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Khalid bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, the Governor of the Northern Borders Region, received in his office today the Chief Executive Officer of the King Salman bin Abdulaziz Royal Reserve Development Authority, Engineer Abdullah bin Ahmed Al-Amer, on the occasion of his visit to the region.
During the reception, His Royal Highness reviewed the authority’s work, its environmental and developmental programs, and its efforts in developing vegetation cover and preserving biodiversity. He emphasized the importance of the projects implemented by the authority in enhancing environmental sustainability and developing the natural and touristic potentials of the region.
The Prince of the Northern Borders Region also sponsored the signing ceremony of a Memorandum of Understanding between the King Salman bin Abdulaziz Royal Reserve Development Authority and the Northern Borders Chamber of Commerce. The authority was represented during the signing by its Chief Executive Officer, Engineer Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Amer, while the Northern Borders Chamber of Commerce was represented by the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Ahmed bin Saleh Al Suwailem.
The Memorandum of Understanding aims to enhance cooperation in environmental and developmental initiatives, support afforestation programs and the development of vegetation cover, and implement initiatives that contribute to raising environmental awareness and promoting sustainability. The fields of cooperation included supporting ecotourism, empowering the local community, productive families, and entrepreneurs, as well as cooperating in volunteer programs and exchanging expertise in the fields of social responsibility and environmental media.
His Royal Highness emphasized the importance of integrative partnerships between government entities and the private sector, and their role in supporting environmental and economic development, as well as enhancing the utilization of the natural and touristic assets that abound in the region, in line with the objectives of Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030.
Meanwhile, Engineer Al Amer expressed his appreciation for the support of the Prince of the Northern Borders Region and his keen interest in environmental and developmental initiatives that contribute to achieving sustainability goals and protecting natural resources.
